With its 400 square kilometres of fresh water, the Baskatong is a virtual inland sea and definitely one of the best protected bodies of water in Québec. It is part of an area of boreal forests, lakes and mountains that is one of the largest animal and ecological reserves in Canada. The loveliest of its bays, Windigo Bay, gives its name to our resort. It boasts an immense sandy beach, and the pleasantly temperate water is much enjoyed by water sports enthusiasts. Here and there, unspoiled pine-green islands offer a delightful refuge to both birds and nature lovers.

Diable Mountain, the second highest summit in the Laurentians, overlooks Windigo Bay, its majestic peak dominating the region. Its flanks are crisscrossed by some hundred kilometres of trails presenting breathtaking views to Windigo Village hikers. Whether you prefer water, mountain or forest, and whether you're the active or contemplative type, you'll fall under the spell of the region's wild beauty and the sheer size of its recreation areas.

It's an ideal setting in which to relax and recharge, less than two hours north of Mont-Tremblant and two hours from Ottawa.
